Registration

  1. This was an Environment Canada vehicle.
  2. Be sure to bid under the name that will appear on the registration. If this is a company purchase, register your company with GC Surplus and be sure to bid under the company's name.

Inspection and Pick-up

  1. Inspection and pick-up appointments are mandatory. No exception will be made.

  3. Buyer must provide the appropriate vehicle, labour, and equipment for the pick-up. The custodian will not provide any assistance during the pick-up.
  4. No assistance or loan of equipment will be available on-site.
  5. Buyers who arrive unprepared will be denied access to the items.
  6. All third party people sent by the buyer to pick up a lot must have the Authority to Release signed by the buyer in order to pick up the lot.
  7. The Department disclaims all liability in the event of an incident or accident that may occur to the user (or any other person accompanying him) as well as to his vehicle/trailer during loading material using a forklift or other.
  8. The buyer will have to comply with the guidelines and preventive measures related to the COVID-19 specific to the site where the lot is located, which vary from one location to another.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

All sales are final. No purchased Goods may be returned and no requests for reimbursement in whole or in part will be accepted.

844.1

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

860.2

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
