Observations:
  • 6.7 L diesel engine: there is water in the air filter. It will not start (the engine is blown).
  • This vehicle will have to be towed from its current location.
  • Nokian ROTIIVA AT plus LT 24575R17 summer tires
    • The tires are very little worn.
  • Presence of rust on running boards.
  • 9" of the right rear fender is dented and scratched (see pictures)
  • Paint marks and scratches in several places (see pictures).
  • The vinyl of the steering wheel is very worn.
  • Rusty rocker panels on both sides.
  • Batteries need to be replaced.
  • 5" long tear on the driver's seat.
  • Worn fabric on side of front passenger seat.
  • Interior is dirty and has paint marks.
  • Dents in two places on the front bumper.
  • Several large dents on the hood and roof caused by hail (see pictures).
  • The truck is equipped with a working Tommy tailgate.
  • The truck is out of alignment and pulls to the left; it needs an alignment.

Registration

  1. This vehicle is sold used, without mechanical inspection, and may require unknown repairs.
  2. This was a Department of National Defence (DND) vehicle. It has never been registered provincially. There is no registration with this vehicle.
  3. This vehicle must be inspected by a SAAQ recognized firm prior to being registered.

Inspection and pick-up

  1. Appointments to view and pick up the items are mandatory, no exceptions.

  3. The lot is located in a secure building and appointments require a 24 hours notice prior to pick up.
  4. Pickups are authorized from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, unless otherwise specified.
  5. The entire lot must be picked up in a single trip.
  6. The purchaser must come equipped and prepared with proper equipment to pick up the lot from the building, example: dollies, carts, vehicle and/or trucks, as well as proper amount of staff/help for the move.
  7. Purchasers who arrive unprepared will be refused.
  8. The buyer will have to comply with the guidelines and preventive measures related to the COVID-19 specific to the site where the property is located, which vary from one location to another.
  9. The Department of National Defense (DND) disclaims all liability in the event of an incident or accident that may occur to the user (or any other person accompanying him) as well as to his vehicle/trailer during loading material using a forklift or other.

  1. Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

860.2

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
