Inspection and pick-up

  1. Appointments to view and pick up the items are mandatory, no exceptions.
  2. For information and to book an appointment for viewing or pick up, please communicate with Christian Girard or his colleague at 418-677-4000, extension 6617628 or by e-mail at ventesdelotsalouette@forces.gc.ca
  3. The lot is located in a secure building and appointments require a 24 hours notice prior to pick up.
  4. Pickups are authorized from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., unless otherwise specified.
  5. The purchaser must come equipped and prepared with proper equipment to pick up the lot from the building, example: dollies, carts, vehicle and/or trucks, as well as proper amount of staff/help for the move.
  6. Purchasers who arrive unprepared will be refused.
  7. The Department of National Defense (DND) disclaims all liability in the event of an incident or accident that may occur to the user (or any other person accompanying him) as well as to his vehicle/trailer during loading material using a forklift or other.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
