Inspection and Pick-Up

  1. Appointments for inspections and pick-ups are mandatory and must be arranged 48 hours in advance with Dwayne Guymer 204-765-3000 ext 258-3236
  2. No drop-ins will be accepted.
  3. Safety shoes/boots must be worn in warehouse.
  4. Appointments can only be arranged Monday to Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.,except on holidays.
  5. Please note that the warehouse is not open on a daily basis for inspections.
  6. To be granted access to the facility, the Purchaser must comply with the security requirements put in place for COVID-19, which includes wearing a face mask.
  7. Please note that all buyers will need to provide a valid photo ID when picking up in person. If the buyer wishes to send someone to pick up on their behalf, they must send an email to the Custodian giving permission to release the item. Failure to do so may result in your asset not being released.
  8. If the buyer wants to send a transport company or a courier to pick-up on their behalf, we can provide the weight and dimensions of the item/lot upon request, but it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for shipping.
  9. Custodian does not fill out waybills (bill of ladings) and does not allow "Collect" shipment, only prepaid shipping will be authorized. It is the buyer's responsibility to send a pre-paid and pre-filled waybill (bill of lading) to the Custodian prior to sending the transporter or courier for pick-up. Custodian will not release the item/lot to the transporter or courier until the correct documentation is provided.
  10. Purchaser must come equipped and prepared with proper equipment to pick up the lot from this location, for example, dollies, carts, vehicles and trucks, as well as proper amount of staff/help for the removal. Staff are not authorized to assist with loading or removal of purchases.
  11. Purchasers who arrive unprepared will be refused.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

All sales are final. No purchased Goods may be returned and no requests for reimbursement in whole or in part will be accepted.

844.1

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

860.2

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
