Vehicle Registration - Ex-Department of National Defence Vehicle

  1. This vehicle has never been previously registered in Canada.
  2. The buyer will receive a signed Transfer Form (APV9T), a Bill of Sale and a letter stating "Certification of Vehicle Ownership for BC Registration".
    • All documents will be mailed to the Buyer, once they contact us for required information.
    • A Provincial vehicle safety inspection will need to be performed prior to registration.
  3. Be sure to bid under the name that will appear on the registration.
  4. If this is a company purchase, register your company with GC Surplus and be sure to bid under the company's name.

Pick-up

  1. This vehicle is sold used, without mechanical inspection and may require unknown repairs.

  3. Pick-up:.
    • Appointments to pick up are mandatory, no exceptions.
    • Buyers without appointments will be turned away.
  4. Pick up times are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., except on holidays.
  5. The buyer is responsible for making all transportation arrangements and for all costs incurred.
  6. Pick-up only by Buyer or authorized third party.
    • All pickups by a third party require a signed Authority to Release and written notation of the person or company authorized to pickup on their behalf, to be sent to the "Contact" listed in the sale prior to releasing. If sending a Transport Company a completed Bill of Lading is also required to be sent to the "Contact".
  7. This vehicle will need to be towed from site (on flat bed or tow truck) or a Temporary Operating Permit (TOP) purchased in the province of B.C., displaying the VIN is required.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

All sales are final. No purchased Goods may be returned and no requests for reimbursement in whole or in part will be accepted.

With the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.

860.2

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
