Mechanical:

  • This vehicle runs.
  • When the turbo in the engine kicks in when going up a hill (up steep mountain), the computer makes an audible noise, a quiet beep and some lessening/pulsing (a very small jerk). Client department declared this happens on very steep hills.

Special Instructions

  1. Buyers are encouraged to make payments online. Client site custodians cannot take in-person payments.

Registration

  1. This vehicle was owned and operated by the Government of Canada and was previously registered in British Columbia.
  2. APV9T Transfer and Registration are located at GCSurplus Langley Sales Centre Office (5370 - 271st Street, Langley, B.C. V4W 3Y7).
    • APV9T & registrations will be mailed to the Buyer, once they contact us for required information.
  3. As indicated in the Clause 844.1, with the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.
  4. Authorized dealers must provide a photocopy of their dealer licence as proof before we release the vehicle, the document must be sent by email to the sales representative.

Viewing and Pick-up

  1. Viewing and pick-ups are by appointment only, from Monday to Friday except statutory holidays, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Buyers who do not have an appointment will be refused access to the site.
  2. This vehicle may need to be towed from the site, if necessary. See the sale's description for more details.
  3. Invoices and Bills of Lading cannot be modified for any reason. Bidders should ensure that the individual or business name on their account is the same information they wish to register the vehicle under before placing a bid.
  4. If the buyer wishes to send a transport company or a third party to pick up the vehicle, a signed Authority to release must be sent to CAROLYN.BEKKERING@INSPECTION.GC.CA. Certain requirements exist for removal by transport companies.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 3 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 3 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

844.1

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.

It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the Canadian manufacturer and, if necessary, equipment manufacturer to find out whether any notices of defects or of non-compliance (more commonly known as "recalls") have been issued with regards to the vehicle.
