Known issues

  • Requires boost to start
    • May need new battery
  • Scratches, paint chips, peeling paint, glue residue, dents, and rust all around the vehicle including but not limited to:
    • Rust on bottom of driver door
    • Rust on driver side foot runner
    • Rust perforation behind driver side rear door
    • Rust on wheels
    • Scratches caused by grinder all around vehicle where decals were taken off
    • Rusted underbody
  • There is an unknown smell in cab area.
  • There is a blue stripe all around the vehicle that is extremely hard to remove. A portion of it was removed on the driver side which potentially caused damages to the paint and spread the glue residue beneath.
  • There is a cut wiring harness protruding from the floor area on passenger rear side.
  • There are metal mounts on rear passenger doors and to the right of the steering wheel console.
  • There is a metal console at the centre front of the 2 front seats.
  • An additional ceiling light was installed closer to the front of the ceiling
  • There is a chip taken out of the push door on the lower center dash console.
  • There is a cut wiring harness on top of the cabin, center of the roof.
  • There are multiple holes in the roof with plastic coverings.
  • The passenger side rear seat is missing.
  • There is a metal plate on the floor where the missing seat would be.
  • The tailgate logo is missing.
  • Both interior lights do not turn on.
  • What looks like a black wire casing is protruding from beneath the sunglass compartment.
  • There are velcro type strips on the interior windshield, behind the rearview mirror.
  • There is an unknown rubber gasket on the front passenger floor.
  • The floor, walls and ceiling of the vehicle are dirty.
  • There is no owner's manual.
  • There is a large amount of rust under the vehicle which caused some rust perforation in multiple areas. The vehicle may not pass safety inspections in its current condition.

  • Note 1: This vehicle is sold used without professional mechanical inspection; it may require additional unknown repairs other than those listed by the divestment representative. GCSurplus is not liable for any repair cost the vehicle may require after purchase. Viewing is highly recommended.
    Note 2: All GCSurplus vehicles start and drive unless specified otherwise in the known issues above.
    Note 3: Please be aware that some vehicles have been stationary for unknown periods of time, and although the vehicle may initially start on arrival with or without a boost, it may require a boost or battery replacement at the time of possession at the buyer's cost.
    Note 4: We are unable to place the vehicle on a hoist, the undercarriage was not visually inspected.
Additional comments:

This was a Federal Government fleet vehicle.

  1. Appointments for pick-ups are mandatory and must be arranged 24 hours in advance. No drop-ins will be accepted.

  3. Appointments to view and pick-up are mandatory, no exceptions.
  4. The purchaser must contact the custodian and make an appointment for a specific date and time so they can meet onsite. Any appointments cancellation must be done in the 24 hours prior to the appointment date.
  5. Viewing and pick-ups are done during the weekdays Monday to Friday. The exact time has to be discussed with the custodian.
  6. Purchasers who arrive unprepared may be refused.

Important:

  1. As indicated in the Clause 844.1, with the exception of authorized dealers and registered recyclers, vehicle ownership transfer must occur prior to the vehicle being released to the owner. This transfer must be completed by the owner, who will also be responsible for any and all mandatory vehicle inspections.
  2. Authorized dealers must provide a photocopy of their dealer licence as proof before we will release the vehicle, the document must be sent by email to the sales representative.
  3. If the buyer wishes to send a transporter or someone else to pick-up on their behalf, they must give a 24 hour notice to the sales representative by email with the company name or the full name of the person that will be picking up on their behalf.
  4. Transporter can call should there be a need regarding logistics, etc. However, first point of confirmation of pick-up is to be made by the buyer.
  5. Invoices and Bill of Sales cannot be modified for any reasons. We highly recommend that buyers update their account information before bidding on vehicles.

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 5 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 5 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.
