Electrical Systems

Payment and Removal
Payment:
The Purchaser agrees to make any payment requested (see available payment options) by the Minister within 5 business days from the date of such request and prior to removal of any of the property.
 
Removal:
The Purchaser, upon acceptance of this offer by the Minister and after payment in full has been received by the Minister, shall at their expense, pack, load and remove the property by the date indicated on the bill of sale or, if no date is shown, within 30 business days after the date the bill of sale is issued.

332.4

PSPC/GCSurplus offers no guarantee that any equipment visible in the photographs of the vessel will be included with the sale of the vessel. The onus is on the individual making the offer to satisfy themselves as to the quantity, type, kind, quality and condition of the vessel and equipment at the time of offer in accordance with terms and conditions of the offer to purchase form they sign and submit.

333.5

Certain security devices, temporarily fitted aboard the vessel for lay up period, are not included in the sale and will be removed preceding the sale of the ship and acceptance of the vessel by the purchaser. These items will be clearly identified to all potential purchasers.

334.4

In order to ensure the ownership of the vessel is properly transferred to the new owners, bidders are advised that the following procedure must be adhered to: "when an individual or corporation qualified under section 6 of the Canada shipping act, becomes the owner of a registered ship, by a bill of sale, executed under section 38 of the act, they are required to present it to the register at the ship's port of registry (section 40), together with Declaration of ownership (section 39) and the certificate of registry, at the following address: Transport Canada registry of ships 330 Spark st., Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N5 Tel: 1-877-242-8700, Email: vr-ib@tc.gc.ca The register at the ships port of registry will be pleased to advise the proper manner in which the Declaration should be completed. On presentation of their bill of sale, Declaration of ownership and payment of the appropriate fee, the registrar will enter the transfer of ownership into the register and amend the certificate of registry to have it reflect the change of ownership.

335.3

Important* the Canadian Coast Guard will not release the vessel to the purchaser without having received the assurance of the registrar, at the port of registry, that the transfer of ownership has been entered in the register, or in the case of foreign buyers the vessel has been deleted from the register.

337.3

The export of this vessel and/or some of the vessel's equipment may be subjected to certain restrictions and therefore require an export permit issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada. The vessel will not be released to the purchaser until such time as the Crown is satisfied that if required such permits have been issued.

408.1

The vessels are being offered on an "as is, where is" basis with no warranty expressed or implied. The vessel surveys are supplied for information purposes only and is the opinion of the author based on their inspections and observations. Prospective bidders should satisfy themselves as to the condition of the vessel and equipment by arranging an appointment to view the vessels with the custodian Mr. Robert Barrett @ 782-641-0815 or Robert.Barrett@dfo-mpo.gc.ca

834.2

Transfer of Ownership

The ownership, not possession of the vessel, will transfer from Canada to the Purchaser once payment for the vessel is made in full.

Loss or Damage

The Purchaser is responsible for any loss or damages to the Vessel from the time full payment is made to the time when ownership transfer is complete. It is recommended that the Purchaser purchase applicable insurances for this period.

Prior to Possesion

Prior to taking possion, the buyer must produce a copy of the Certificate of Registry issued by Transport Canada. The client/ GCSurplus will not release the ship without assurance from the Registrar that Transfer of Ownership has been recorded in the Register. Foreign buyers are responsible for deleting the ship from the Register.


Taking Possession/Dry Dock Fees

The Purchaser must take possession of the vessel within 10 days after the Certificate of Registry is issued from the Chief Registrar's Office. The purchaser assumes all responsibility of storage fees and usage of dry dock, from the date of full invoice payment.

860.2

Buyers are advised to contact each asset custodian listed on the sale to determine what viewing and pick-up directions are in place as instructions may vary from location to location. The item(s) described herein are being sold offsite and not from a GCSurplus Sales Centre. For all offsite sales, Canada is responsible for making the sale items accessible for removal. They are under no obligation to provide assistance of any kind. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure they have the proper labour and material handling equipment to facilitate the removal. Failure to comply with this condition of sale may lead to the Purchaser being turned away and the items and funds being forfeited.
